Brassage Bra – Does the Brassage Bra help prevent breast cancer or are the claims of healthy underwear all just a scam to sell expensive bras?

The Brassage Bra produced by Intimate Health claims that the Brassage contains massaging bumps that ’stimulate lymphatic flow’ that help flush away toxins that accumulate in the breasts.

The Brassage is designed by Christina Erteszek, daughter of famous designer Olga, and she claims on her ABC News interview that this revolutionary wellness bra does not trap toxins in the breasts the way ordinary bras do.
There is no medical research that suggests that the Brassage Bra is healthier or can massage away any toxins, or that any toxins accumulate at all in the breasts.
Intimate Health sells the Brassage for about $59, a bargain compared to many high end bras. Since the integrity of claims made about the Brassage Bra has been questioned, most retailers have ceased selling the product.
And that’s the latest chatter about the Brassage Bra.

This bra does what it is suppose to do. It does not prevent breast cancer. It is for those who have had cancer and are fighting lymphedema. I love my brassage bras. I would like to be able to order more. The only thing I have to do is t\o make a couple of little slits to remove the underwire. I am a bilateral mastectomy breast cancer survivor, who has had lymphedema, and fouond that these bras help by massaging the under arm lymph nodes, which does help keep the lymph fluid movinig!!!

The brassage bra has more side support than other bras. After my bilateral mastectomy, I had TRAM flap reconstruction. This is the ONLY bra that fits and is comfortable. It also helps with the lymphedema that I have had in both arms. My fight arm is contiinually fighting to stay normal size. I bought the brassage bras, which helped to bring my arms back to normal, along with manual lymph massage and Lebed exercises. Please do not let any negative comments from misinformed people stop you from manufacturing these WONDERFUL bras.

Hello,
I am a lymphedema therapist. When I first saw this bra in the Gaiam magazine. I was thrilled to hear about it. I recommended the bra to my patients. I encouraged them to take the underwire out but the bras we liked by my breast cancer survivors. I even started to wear the bra to provide lymph flow. The lymph system does transport toxics, cells, etc throughout the system. Node massage at the axilla is benefical for all. I still think the brassage has a great purpose. People misread what the bra does.
