Tatoo Barbie – Mattel has introduced the new Totally Stylin Tatoo Barbie though some think it was mis-named and should have been called Tramp Stamp Barbie.

Tatoo Barbie has parents in an uproar. Some parents have even gone so far as to join a Barbie ban.

Mattel has defended the new Totally Stylin Tatoo Barbie by saying they have no plans to discontinue the doll and that she gives girls a chance to express themselves and be creative. Today it’s a tatoo on Barbie, tomorrow she’ll be 17 and express her creativity with a tramp stamp and an eyebrow piercing.

What do you think? Do you want your little girl to play with Tatoo Barbie?

It is so sad that our children are being inundated with activities that belong in the adult world. Getting a tatoo is a choice that lasts a lifetime, and if the tatoo doesn’t last that long the scar from its removal will.

This is sick and disgusting. Now I am going to have to explain what a tramp stamp is to a five year old. What in the hell has happened to this country!!

Desire: Your kids never come in contact with adults that have tatoos? Miltary personnel have been getting tatoos for decades. I think it’s pretty easy to explain the downfalls to your children.
wtf: You’re a wacko.
I personally do not have a tatoo but I know many wonderful people that do, including 2 of my three daughters and a niece. It sure doesn’t make them tramps.
If you don’t approve of it, don’t buy it. But I see nothing wrong with it.
They have been selling temporary tatoos at the dime store for years … and these are apparently just that. Body STICKERs. BIG DEAL!

Tatoos are a personal choice but do not reflect the positive or negative character of a person nor do they define who a person is simply by placing a picture on their body.
I find it interesting how the first responses are so concerned and disgusted about children putting stickers on a doll rather than the unrealistic adult body image of the doll itself if they are so inclined to be offended by such things.

Why does any young child need to know you can permanently stamp the area above your tush with a boys name? Totally inappropriate.

I hate people that think they’re going to “shield” their kids from the world. It’s all good and dandy when they’re kids, but once they grow up and get into the real world, they are going to be completely unprepared.
Kids go to fairs and get temporary tatoos, how is this any different?
I agree with Mother of Three when she says, if you don’t approve of it, don’t by it.
Tatoos don’t have to be a bad thing, you know. You can get a tatoo in memory of a loved one. My mom has tatoos of her kids.
As long as yer smart about them, and understand that they will be there for life, tatoos are wonderful works of art.

when i was young i drew tattoos on my barbies with milky pens and put temporary tattoos on them. i’m 22 and i still dont have any tats of my own.
just cause barbie has something doesnt mean you’re going to have it when you grow up. other wise i would have a dream house, an awesome wardrobe and a pink jeep!
