Parents of tweens are aghast at the racy Hannah Montana Vanity fair photos as the pictures seem to be an exercise in bad taste all the way around.
Disney spokeswoman Patti McTeague faulted Vanity Fair for the racy photos. “Unfortunately, as the article suggests, a situation was created to deliberately manipulate a 15-year-old in order to sell magazines,” she said.
Miley Cyrus, idolized by millions of young girls as pop star Hannah Montana, released a statement Sunday saying, “I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed. I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about.”
Disney executives are furious about the racy Vanity Fair photos of the young Hannah Montana star, which they reportedly only found out about when Entertainment Tonight started running promos for their Monday night expose.
Just last week, Gary Marsh, the president of entertainment for Disney Channel Worldwide, was quoted in Portfolio magazine, “For Miley Cyrus to be a ‘good girl’ is now a business decision for her. Parents have invested in her a godliness. If she violates that trust, she won’t get it back.”
And that’s the latest chatter on the racy Hannah Montana Vanity Fair Photos.

This girl is just 15 years old. She was used by the crappy magazine Vanity Fair. I don’t think the pics where in any way appropiate. Nobody should buy their magazine. Keep our kids safe from inmorality that arises all over the world.

i think the photos are completly fine and sexy this should boost your career i love you as a person and this dosent change anything. people are only picking on her because Brittany Spears hasent shaved her head and paris hilton hasent been in jail lately and there is nothing else going on so why not try to make something out of this which is totally juevinile i think the photos are super sexy!!!!!

Yes - we are a bunch of hypocrits, I agree, but if you have an eight year old who looks up to her, it is a shame. Trying to stop our kids these days from acting worldly is hard enough. When a superstar like her acts like this, it is a terrible thing for an eight year old to see. We all make mistakes, so let it go now, but hopefully Miley learns a lesson and trys to go in a different more wholesome direction. A 15 year is not supposed to be sexy!!

i love hannah montana and yes i am only 14 but i think these photos r great dont be givvin me no sh*t about me not knowing what im on about because i want to be a profetional photoghrapher poeple be honest with youselfs what child reads vanity fair ?? thats right very little to none she is not nude and is 15 i have taken pictures off people way more revealing then this !! so more on with your life people and get a grip these are stunning pictures and very artistic i love the one with her farther showing they bond i love these pics and i am deffo buying the mag =]

i used to love hannah/ miley. But the show is getting more and more stupid. I’m only 14, and I think that if she wants to take pictures like this thats fine. But at least she should get off disney channel and be just a regular rock star. Its her life. Let her be.

I’m sorry but louisa your 8 year old is reading Vanity Fair or on the web? Didn’t think so. Thies photos are stunning and classy, i wouldn’t even say that sexy. they show her for her real beauty. she’s not dolld up with big black eyes and all orange with her blonde hair in in some strappy outfit no shes covering herself in a sheet and got hardly any make up on. and remmber why britney spears is the way she is, Because she was put in the meda far to much and from a young age, never got to live, let this poor we lassi live and leav her alone.
