Tim Massa – Waterbury school teacher Tim Massa was found dead in the harbor near the Bahamas resort where he was vacationing with family and friends.
Tim Massa was reported missing Sunday morning when he went missing after a night of partying with brothers Jeffrey and Chris Massa and friends.
When Tim Massa missed his 11:00 am flight home on Sunday, family members said they knew something was very wrong.
The body of the oldest Massa brother was found in a harbor near the Atlantis Resort and Hotel on Paradise Island, Bahamas at around 7:00 pm on Monday night.
Officials are not ruling out any possibilities at this time, though at this point, there does not appear to be any indication of foul play.
The physical education teacher at Waterbury Arts Magnet School was celebrating the New Year while on vacation in the Bahamas.
Due to the tragic deaths of so many in the Bahamas in the last few years, I think I’ll vacation somewhere else.

Just a little bit about Tim… He was a fun loving person whom my children both adored. he had a way with kids like no other of my fiancee best friends. my 7 year old twins both cried this morning when I told them the horrible news. I think they now have an Idea of what death is and they took it hard. RIP Tim!!! we will miss you dearly friend

Mr. Massa was a great guy, i never had him as a teacher, but he was there for every student, even those he did not know. he will be missed

i love him soooooooo much he was the greatest teacher ever and we always had our laughs because me my friends yaizmari and lind always used too joke around and say we dont want to work and he used to tell us ok just do ten after we did finish. he would say ten more ten more!!!! i love you and always will you were the BEST TEACHER ever if u were here i would give you an award for it
