Repent for Obama Vote - A Greenville SC Catholic priest is calling on parishoners to repent if they voted for Obama - see the video here.

Repent for Obama vote is the cry of Friar Jay Scott Newman of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenville, SC. The mandate has people of the same faith at odds with each other.

A statement made in response to a call for ‘Repent for Obama vote’ is: “Voting for a pro-abortion politician when a plausible pro-life alternative exits constitutes material cooperation with intrinsic evil, and those Catholics who do so place themselves outside of the full communion of Christ’s Church and under the judgment of divine law. Persons in this condition should not receive Holy Communion until and unless they are reconciled to God in the Sacrament of Penance, lest they eat and drink their own condemnation.”

Friar Jay Scott Newman says that parishoners are putting their souls at risk if they take communion before do penance for the sin of voting for Obama, a pro-life candidate.

Without studying Catholic doctrine and firming up exact dates, the Catholic church may want to recall that as recently as the 1700’s, it was the Catholics who believed that life begins, or a human obtains a soul at the time of ‘quickening.’ Quickening, or the time when the mother is first able to feel the baby moving, occurs anywhere from 4 to 6 months.

In those times, it was the protestants who believed that life begins at conception. Other religions believe that a human does not obtain a soul until adolescence!

Never fear, very soon, everyone who voted for Obama will repent.
