Julian Alexander - In a case of mistaken identity Anaheim resident Julian Alexander was shot by a police officer who was chasing robbery suspects on October 29, 2008.

Julian Alexander was shot twice in the chest in his yard at about 1:30 am on Tuesday morning.

AnĀ unnamed police officer shot Julian Alexander when he emerged from his home after hearing a commotion outside. He came out carrying what police describe as a broom stick or shower rod.

Alexander was treated by paramedics at the 300 block of N. Muller St. and later pronounced dead at UCI Medical Center.

“He was a good kid, trying to protect his house,” said Michelle Mooney, mother-in-law of Julian Alexander. “And the police, instead of asking questions, they just shot first. Somebody has to be held responsible for this.”

Alexander was married last week, and his wife, Renee, 19, is expecting a baby girl in December.

That’s the very sad news of Julian Alexander.
