Charles Manson Compound Search – The Barker Ranch shown in these photos otherwise known as the Charles Manson Compound in Death Valley California is being searched for more dead bodies. A metal detector is being used to pinpoint possible burial sites.
The Charles Manson Compound search began when about a year ago, Sgt. Paul Dostie of the Mammoth Lakes Police Department decided to test his cadaver sniffing dog, Buster, at the Barker Ranch. He heard rumors that Manson and his followers had killed more people and buried them behind their hideout at Barker Ranch.
The Barker Ranch search revealed three to five locations where bodies could be buried. According to Emmett Harder, a gold prospector who knew the Charles Manson family, “This one girl didn’t get along with Manson or Watson at all,” Harder stated. “And they took her for a walk, and they came back in a short distance, and we never saw her again.”
Barker Ranch is located on federal land but the decision to whether to excavate the site is up to the Inyo County Sheriff’s Department who said more testing needs before spending the time and money to dig. The Charles Manson ranch remains much as it was 40 years ago.
A decision of whether to dig will be determined as early as this week.
As if the Charles Manson murders aren’t creepy enough, now there may be mystery bodies too?
