Vesper Martini Recipe – Like James Bond in the Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, you can make the Oh So Classy Vesper Martini using this recipe.

The Vesper Martini recipe is very specific and should not be altered unless you use less Lillet Blanc to taste.

The Vesper Martini is a drink named after the double agent, Vesper Lynd, in the original Ian Fleming book from 1953, Casino Royale which became a wildly successful James Bond movie.

Will the Vesper Martini recipe will be revived for the new 007 movie, Quantum of Solace due out in November 2008?  We hope so because it’s just so damned classy.

Vesper Martini Recipe

2 ounces of Bombay Sapphire
1/2 ounce of Grey Goose
1/3 ounce Lillet Blanc
Twist of lemon to garnish
Ice and strain to serve neat

Lillet Blanc is made from extremely dry white wine, but don’t mistake it for it’s sweeter counterpart, Lillet Rouge. Don’t mistake a twist of lemon for a lemon squeeze. A twist is just the lemon peel. Don’t skimp on the Bombay Sapphire or Grey Goose. Get the real thing if you want to ooze class like Bond.

That’s the details on the Vesper Martini Recipe.
