The Barack Obama girlfriend rumor hasn’t named any names yet, but with her location and pictures, the girlfriend’s name won’t be far behind.
According to the Daily Mail, Michelle Obama had the yet unnamed woman removed from her job after becoming suspicious that her husband had developed a close relationship with the staffer.
The Obama girlfriend rumors first surfaced from the Hillary Clinton camp just two weeks before the 2008 Democratic Convention.
Friends of the young woman, now 33 years old, say she was removed from her job in 2004 because of her close friendship with Barack Obama. “She disappeared, then she reappeared in the Caribbean.”
The Mail on Sunday located the rumored girlfriend in the Caribbean, where she now works, but the woman denied that Michelle Obama had anything to do with her relocating to the Caribbean.
“No,” she said. “Nothing happened. I just left … at the end of the campaign.”
Asked about the claim that Mrs. Obama accused her of having a close friendship with the her husband, she said: “I have no comment on anything. I switched careers. That’s it. I’m a Democrat and I support Senator Obama … I don’t have anything to say.”
She added that she moved to the Caribbean from the US to pursue her relationship with the man with whom she now lives.
The girlfriend rumor claims the woman was paid off with a cushy Caribbean job created by a Democratic fundraiser to keep her out of the media spotlight and away from Obama and his political career ambitions.
