Ventura County man, Shawn Barth, has been charged with a felony count of child rape, continuous sexual abuse and oral copulation on a child.
The accused has allegedly been holding the 13 year old girl a ‘psychological prisoner’ since May and sexually assaulted her on a daily basis.
The girl whose identity has not been released is the daughter of a woman Shawn Barth previously dated in San Bernardino, though the mother did not report the girl missing. Barth claimed to be the girls legal guardian, though police have not yet determined why the girl was living in a motor home with Barth.
Since there had been previous molestation charges against Barth, the school the child attended became suspicious and reported the case to Ventura County police.
