Text Walking Ban – Illinois State Legislators are considering a text walking ban after emergency room injuries are linked to texting while crossing busy streets.

The Text Walking Ban was introduced by Ken Duncan. Here’s the news clip:
It seems that the American public is just too stupid to exersize common sense. As with a text walking ban, the government must increasingly save us from ourselves by legislating the smallest details of our lives.

The ban on texting while walking can be traced directly to our society’s increasing over-protectiveness of children. You can tell the toddler not to touch the stove, but he won’t learn it until he gets a blister. You can tell a child not to slide head first down the sliding board, but only the skinned hands and bump on the head will teach him the lesson.
By not allowing or even legislating against stupidity, the human race only becomes, well, stupider and stupider.
And that’s the latest chatter about the Text Walking Ban.

What about walking and chewing gum? Shouldn’t there be a law against that?

Sam – What a moronic thing to say. Let me gusss – you are just like the majority of wasted youth who have no clue of their surroundings because the have their phones shoved so far up their butts. I also have a feeling that you are one of those who wears their pants down past their butt-cracks. I own my own business and ALL mistakes (yes, these cost ME money) are due to some imbicile talking or texting on their phones. You’d fit right in. Want a job?
