The Pink Patch – If you have seen the ads on FaceBook and Hotmail for The Pink Patch, here’s what you need to know before you order The Pink Patch sample.

The Pink Patch is a very controversial product, not only because many reports say that it does not work but because they are targeting young girls that are in danger of developing eating disorders and low self asteem due to body image.

The information provided by The Pink Patch says that it is not recommended for girls under 18, but their marketing could not be more targeted to the tween and teen market.

ThePinkPatch.com uses phrases like “How to be the envy of every girl you know”. Middle aged women don’t want to lose weight so they can “OMG! be the envy of every girl they know!” The Pink Patch is targeted directly at the teen market, hence their ads on FaceBook.

About ThePinkPatch, Dr. David Haslam from the National Obesity Forum said there’s “no convincing clinical evidence that any of the natural ingredients like a seaweed called Fucus Vesiculosus , or bladderwrack actually help with weight loss.”

The Pink Patch is made by CYC Marketing and is registered in the UK but based in the US. A spokesperson said that the company does follow The Food and Drug administration’s manufacturing guidelines.

Okay, here’s the skinny on The Pink Patch. There are hundreds of weight loss products on the market. Some work and some don’t. Whether it works or not is not so much the issue, but the way this product is marketed to tweens and teens is disgraceful.
One more helpful hint about what www.ThePinkPatch.com doesn’t want you to know so it’s down in the teeny tiny fine print. If you order the ‘free’ sample, they will keep sending the product if you don’t expressly go back to cancel your ‘order’. And you’re on the hook for the bill.
And that’s the latest chatter about The Pink Patch.

I disagree that this is marketed to teens. I have quite a number of intelligent, professional friends almost in their 30s who say “OMG” and have facebook sites.
I don’t know how old you are, but you make a whole lot of assumptions.
