“Falling Down,” the song chose for the new Scarlett Johansson music video is the first single off of her debut solo album, “Anywhere I Lay My Head” coming out May 20th on the Acto/Rhino label.

The song has kind of a dreamy, floating quality to it like Sinead O’Connor’s megahit “Nothing Compares To U” , but Scarlett’s voice is nowhere close to Sinead’s in pitch, tone, or range.
Suffice it to say that she should stick to her day job, acting, and maybe sing occassionally in a movie or something. I like the song, it just sounds like it’s being sung by an American Idol wannabe.
Lyrics to “Falling Down” were written by David Bowie and the Scarlett Johansson album is mostly cover versions of Tom Waits songs.
