Jayson Williams Arrested – Former NBA star Jayson Williams was arrested early this morning on suspicion of DWI after his car went off the road and hit a tree in Manhattan.
Jayson Williams arrest came after police arrived at the scene where his black Mercedes SUV hit a tree on the 18th Street exit of FDR drive.
Police say Jayson Williams was in the passengers seat, but no one else was in the car and witnesses say he was driving the vehicle when it went off the road and hit a tree.
The former NBA star was taken to Bellevue Hospital with minor injuries. Williams is awaiting a retrial for the death of his driver back in 2004 after a deadlocked jury ended the trial. He sure could have used his driver this time, huh?
