Tracy Hermanstorfer – Tracy Hermanstorfer of Colorado is the Christmas miracle mother who died during childbirth on Christmas eve and then came back to life along with her stillborn baby.
Tracy Hermanstorfer was admitted to Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs on Christmas eve when she began to feel weak and sleepy. During labor her heart stopped and she stopped breathing so the baby was taken via cesarean.
The Hermanstorfer baby was lifeless when the doctors handed him to his father, and Tracy Hermanstorfer could not be revived by doctors.
Then the miracle happened. The baby came to life in his fathers arms, and the mother suddenly had a heartbeat and began breathing again.
Tracy Hermanstorfer had no heartbeat for about four minutes but says she does not remember anything about the incident. ”I just felt like I was asleep,” she said. “I’m like, holy cow, was it that bad?”
Dr. Stephanie Martin, a maternal fetal medicine specialist at the hospital said there was no medical explanation for why Tracy Hermanstorfer and her newborn son, Coltyn Hermanstorfer recovered from their Christmas eve ordeal.
