im looking for siblings from my fathers side. i know that he died when i was 7 yrs old i am now 41. i know that i had a brother that died and two sisters. one of them i know her name was jaqualine i have never seen them but would like to contact them to find out information on that side of my family. i also have a nephew that my sister had to put up for adoption because she was 17 when she had him. and i would love to find him to let him know about his family and get to know him if hed like too. he would be around 29 yrs old now. thank u karen kunde

I have paid twice for help trying to find the missing pieces. and yet have had no luck.. I have last names only for birth parents.. With the last name McDonald as one of them.. the asoption paperwork says Baby Girl Mcdoanld(bfather) McCue (Birthmother) she flew from New York to California to place me for adoption and then went back… not sure where in New York.. How can I get the first names if it is a closed adoption.. not sure how to do that now that I don’t live in california.. Please help it would be very helpful.. Only if you knew… I would send in a video just don’t have one and wouldn’t know how to do that.. please please email me back

Hi Troy i like to watch ur show because i can relate to it im only in high school but when i found out when i waz little my mother told me that the person i fought was my father was not corse being young it didnt affect me much but now that i have started high school im starting to wonder who i am and what he is like i do wont no more but im scared to ask my mom about it i dont wont to hurt her feelings we havent talk about it since the day she told me but watching you show and the time you helped that girl that was only 18 find her dad and that her story was close to mine its helping me get ready to hopfuly ask my mom about him God bless you and what you do for all of those people because i know they need to know the truth just like me If you get the chance Thank you for readying this and i hope it helps you to keep going to help people like me lol dont 4get i am just a teen an my mom dont know i post this so dont email bak haha!

dear troy i am a 39 years old. i been trying to find my birth father’s people. he died two months before i was born. he died in 1970 august 21. he was bon november in 1934. the search stop at his social security form which listed his parents mother berthula ricks and father cliff boyd. his name on the form was fred boyd. the location of birth was lee county alabama. death place was in tifton georgia. he left alabama when he was 16 years old. if you can please help. i have a part of me that feel lost. if you can please call me

My ex sister n law wrote to you. I am praying you can help her. Her name is Bernedette S. She wrote to you that her mother is ill of congestive heart failure. She never would give Bernie any info about her birth father. Every year at Fathers day she has a hard time. She is a good girl who has a hard time. She was in foster care from about 14 yrs of age to 18.She then married my brother who still did not give her a good life. They have 3 beautiful boys who would love to meet their other grandfather. Bernie has tried to get info from her mother but it is just not enough for us to find her father. Now that her mother is sick she is starting to give bits and pieces of the detail. However we are not sure how much is correct because her mother is going in to child like behaviors. He mother made some bad choices when it came to her children but Bernie is very forgiving and now has her mother living with her and caring for her. I don’t think she has much time left with her mom and she has a huge emptiness in her life. We don’t think her mother will ever give us the full detail of the father. This is what we think we know. He is about 65 yrs old. She said he was in the mafia? He did go to the hospital the day Bernie was born but has not seen her since. We are not sure of the Spelling of the name. Hello Troy how are you doing. Ok, I was put into Forster care when I was young. I was adopted at the age of two and cannot find my birth family. I tried every method and wasted over 5000 dollars to find out nothing. I really need your help. I hear you can work miracles and I really hope you can make one happen for me. My teenage years were rough and I needed family to be on my side but I felt like I was the ugly duckling. When I turned 18 I moved out of my adoptive mothers home and went on my own. Whenever I needed help or I lost my place, my family acted as if they didn’t know me anymore. In June 2008 I was going to have a baby girl. Three days before I was to have her, they told me she was a stillborn. I felt like my world had ended. I needed family to be there and support me but again, they wanted nothing to do with me. They said they will help if I move back in, no babys, I had to pay rent, no boyfriends, and I had to be in the house by 9. I needed a family to help me as a grown up not a child. I really need to know if there is family out there who will love and care for me no matter what my life brings. There is so many storys I have bottled up inside and I have noone close to me that I can tell them to. Please, I would really like if you can help me. Please hear our plea…….My mother hired you in April of 1992 to help find her daughter, Rita, who my mom was pushed to give up for adoption in 1962. I have a case number as well as a PIN reference number.
My mother was 18 years old when she became pregnant. Her parents took her straight to the priest where the priest and my mother’s parents decided to take her straight to the Catholic maternity home in Detroit, MI. While in the Catholic maternity home she was led to believe how unworthy she was to raise her daughter and how shameful it would be to bring her daughter home, so she was forced to give her daughter up for adoption.
On Decemeber 11, 2009, my mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer and given weeks to live!!! “She was told to go home, bring her family together for Christmas and to get her things in order.”
We are frantically trying to find her daughter/my sister to bring some closure with my mom.
I am not sure why you were unable to locate Rita in 1992 but perhaps with technology changing as it has you would be able to find her now.
We are pleading with you to hear us and help us bring peace to my mom’s life before she passes on.
Our hearts and our prayers are with you in hopes that you will take this case and find the daughter/sister we so DESPERATELY need to find her before time runs out!!!!

I am tryng to find a friend that I had when I was little. He has been on my mind alot for some reason.I remember we got along well and remembered he came to visit and the last time he was I think nine. We were close friends when we were little. When my Mom and Dad divorced, our families lost touch. All I know is that his dad’s name was Larry Boyd. His name was Lawerence and he had a brother named Raymond. I think his Mom left them last thing I remembered.Her name was Rosie. If you do find him, could you please let him know that I just wanted to see how he was and to let him know that I have always had him in my thoughts.I’m happily married with three lovely girls.I wish I could talk with him.

I am trying to help my fiancee find his birth mother. The only thing we know is his birth name (got changed when he was adopted) we know his birth mothers first name, where he was born and that he had or could have a sister out there somewhere and were not sure if she is alive or not. It was a private adoption so we dont know to much, and from what i know the adpotion agency is no longer around. We kept looking and could not afford some of the prices, so that is one of the questions i had for you, is how much something like this would cost us. I would love to help my fiancee and finally give him some peace in is life so he doesnt always have to wonder the “what if’s” because those questions are killing him. If you can help or even let me know how much this would cost it is something that i would truly greatly appreaciate. We both would. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.

I was made to give a baby girl up for adoption when I was seventeen years old and I have wanted to know what has happened to the baby and who she looks like and how her life has turned out. I am now 48 years old, and I have said in contact with Christian Family Services thru the years to let them know where I am and how to contact me in case she was to ever want to find me and I just want her to know that I do know that it was in her best interest but I want her to know it wasnt because she was not wanted because she was and she is still very much on my mind and in my heart. I was told by the agency that I have no rights and they could not give me any info on her they did read a letter to me that the adoptive mother wrote close to her birthday which I believe they had stated was the last contact they had and I think it was when she was about to turn 8 or 9. I asked for a recent picture of her to see who she looked like and they stated they had no more pictures other than the one I have from when she was probably around 7 to 9 months old. Is there anyway you can help find her the only other info I have on her is they named her Suzanne. You may contact me thru my email and I will supply you with a phone number at that time. Hello Troy,

I have been watching your tv program since last year. As always, you leave me touched by your humane manner and how you conduct yourself when dealing these families and individuals in need.

I’ll make a long story short, about five years ago I applied for a passport and was denied one. Due to lack of data in regards to my deceased father, who was born in the state of Colorado. According to the Dept. of Homeland Security, I had to prove to them that my father lived in the US continuously in order for them to allow me to qualify for a passport.

My parents married mid to late 1940’s, I was born in Mexico, a year later, I was registered as a US citizen by my father in 1950 and came to the US and have been here ever since. My parents divorced in the early 1950’s, I had little or no contact with my father after their separation.

To finish this short story version, for 2 1/2 years I had to provide DHS documentation dating back 100 years regarding my deceased father…….it made no matter that, I have lived here all my life (legally), that I am a Vietnam Era Veteran, and that 30 years of my working career was in Law Enforcement……retired now……

I did get my passport and the wonderful experience of researching my father’s background history and meeting a half-sister living in Memphis Tn. I had never met before.

Have you ever considered doing an expanded spanish language version of your show?………I think you would do very well……

Your show is truly AMAZING and I am hoping that you can help our family. Many years ago I promised my mother, Gloria (Jenkins/Davis) Bryant (born Washington DC 1926) that I would help find her biological family. Unformately, life got in the way and my mother passed away (3 years ago) before fulfilling her life long dream of being reunited with any of her other family members. Her mother, Grace Elizabeth (Floyd) Davis was born in Norfolk, VA. in 1906 and I find her and her parents (dad.. Almer Floyd, mom… Emma (Warren) Floyd and 4 siblings) listed on the 1910 (Norfolk,VA) census. My grandmother Grace, (the only family member my mother had contact with over the years) died in 1953. With working full time over the years…. and raising a family… finding “time” to work on the complex puzzle I had started was difficult. Having recently retired from the University… I feel a “calling” to once again become involved in the search that I had started years ago. You and your show have renewed my faith that the mystery can and will be solved!

I have 3 letters… one which is dated 1943 to Grace from a cousin living in Norfolk, VA. in which the cousin asks Grace if she knew that her mother, Emma Warren Floyd had remarried a Mr. Dunn. I have so much more information to share with you and I know that my dream of finding my family is very complicated, but I would promise you that I would remained dedicated in helping you help our family. Troy… I am Theresa Klinghammer-Sohn. You have an entry on here from a Starla Klinghammer. I know, for a fact, that I am her cousin from her biological father… My uncle was George Klinghammer of South Bend, Ind (who later moved to Denver, Colo). My father is the youngest brother of the late George Klinghammer. I read her message, and my heart dropped because I have heard about her my whole life, AND FELT THAT IT WAS WRONG TO NOT KNOWN HER… and then, to read that she hasn’t any family but her mom and children, made me want to correspond. I do hope that she can at least read this and know that she does have family… I may not be a sister or George Jr, but I hope that a 1st cousin would be 2nd best. There is so much to share. I hope that there was some way to let Starla know that I am not hard to find, and I do hope that this reaches her. And maybe, I can help her to find her brother. I do believe he is in Florida, if memory serves. And maybe she would like to know that large family that we both have… she will never be alone, again.

Perhaps you can help me. I would like to locate a gentlemen that I never personally met, but communicated with for 2 years (phone and mail), In l978 I was featured in Ebony magazines “Most Eligible Bachelorettes” section. I recieved over 500 letters from men thoughout the u.s. and Europe and only responded to one…Frikere Tolossa, from Bremen West Germany. There was no romantic interest on either part…but a very sincere friendship.

Our last conversation was in 1982 the evening he his Ph.D. from the University of Bremen, (WEst Germany). I contacted the school, but received no response. I only know that he is from Ethopia and should be between 50 and 55 years of age.

I would love to re-connect with him, and hopefully we can personally meet.

Troy, I have never seen your program although I have seen previews of it. Are the people you locate family members for real, or just actors? Have you really located lost family members in real life and how do you charge for that? My son was taken from me by my then mother-in-law when he was 3. I tried to get him back. I knew he was in Georgia with his grandparents. His dad sure did not want him. My in-laws had much more clout and money than I did. They were members of a ritzy country club. So, I lost. Christmas that same year, I sent my son a large box of Christmas presents. The box came back to me (I was in California at the time) unopened. There was a letter attached. My mother-in-law told my son I was dead. Lately, I have been trying to locate him. But his name does not come up anywhere I look. I don’t know where else to look. Is there any advice you can give me on where else I might search that does not charge. Thank you so much for your time.

I saw your show the other day (5/10/09). My mother who raised me since I was a infant died in October, 2008.
She was 80 years old. I am 42 years old. My mother that gave birth to me I am trying to find for medical reasons. I do not have much to go on. I know her name was Doris Andrews. I was born 1/29/1967 at DePaul Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia. My son has a type of arthritis that is carried down from parent to child. I may be a carrier but not have the symptoms. I have watched shows like the The Locator or different segments that have been highlighted on Dr. Phil, Oprah, and other talk shows. I’ve never been brave enough to add a post or make a comment. After watching about the young man that had been to Iraq and lost his friend and then told his mom he had to find his dad, it touched a chord that I keep trying to ignore but the older I get the more it comes to surface. I was adopted at 8 weeks old from “The Cradle” in Evanston, ILL and when I was young I seemed to make the circle and gave birth to a baby boy whom will be 30 this July. I have 2 boys 22 and nearly 25 who would like to meet their brother, and see if they have a grandmother or even a grandfather. I have looked a few times with the small amount of info I have but I havent gotten anywhere. I now haw 2 beautiful granddaughters that I think along with my boys have the right to know if there are any medical problems we should be watching out for. All the info I have to give them is the histroy I have created. T
