Fox has done great things to counter the bad of NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC…..ETC.
BUT, WHAT A STUPIT CHOICE. THIS ellen choice is making me and a lot of people STOP watching the idle.

would someone please get elen a telestraitor so she can at least speak about what she is suppose to be judging. She knows nothing about musiq. at least when the MNF put Dennis Miller (did not agree with that either) he had some knowledge of the game….This is annoying moreso than Simon, and why is Randy sitting between Elen and Kara….hmmm

Why is ellen degeneres the new judge on American Idol? what are her qualifications? shes a comic. her expertise lies in her comedic talent and dry humor. WRONG…wrong choice. and now they are thinking of howard stern as a replacement for Simon?? what the heck is going on?? whats next Sara Palen a replacement for Randy Jackson?

I used to love American Idol, but I am very disappointed with their choice. She might be good doing comedy or whatever she is doing with her show now, but I don’t think it is fair to the contestants to have someone, who may be qualified in other areas, but not music and singing ability. I have an extreme love of music as well, but I don’t think I would be qualified to judge a singing contest. Though I don’t agree with the homosexual lifestyle at all, that is not the reason I think they made a bad choice. She is just not right for this show – period.

I am excited to see ellen on the show but I will say simon and Paula are like two peas in a pod,I cant imagine him without her or her without him.We might all be surprized and it might be interesting but I think Simon left Idol so he could be with has all time side kick-Paula!!!They do go hand in hand.But I dont think Simon will be too happy when ellen puts him in his place.I love simon to death and wish he werent leaving,simon is what makes Idol turn.I love to watch ellen in her talk show but I still wish it were back to simon and paula,randy and that Kara chick can go to as far as I am concerned,she never did fit it either.I still think the perfect judges for idol,is simon,paula, and Randy and maybe Sharon Osbourne,but not ELLEN…Although I might be surprized.

Ellen is a lesbian and that’s wrong, and having a lesbian on American idol no longer makes it a family show. Ellen is stupid has no talent and is not funny in any way, the only reason she is popular is because she is a lesbian which makes her popular among people who have the same mental disorder that Ellen has which is gayness. i will never watch ai again.i use 2 love it. we r a musical family. i was thrilled when the sceeming cat lost last year. it was just a bonus when his sexual orient came out. i will not submit my children to hollywood’s homosexual machine. so much for women getting away with their alternate lifestyle as apposed to men. that was the big adam lambert moan regarding his public display last night. (i saw the story on the internet, but wouldnt watch another of his contrived performances, for shock value. im glad i missed it.) just because the entertainment field pushes their political gay agenda across this country, doesnt mean people have lost all sense of decency. morality is not a dirty word. americans are not mindless drones who will roll over and accept the irreverent climate entertainment has fallen into. im tired of being classed as a homophobe because i dont believe in the gay lifestyle. afraid of what? what about a heterophobe? does that make them feel superior? can they simply dismiss people by using the word homophobe? Why is it liberal gays believe in the right to their” lifestyle, but not in anyone else’s right “not” to believe in homosexuality. i think, if not mistaken, this is what we call the old double standard. pretty hypocritical. dare i say it…i believe in God. im a christain. what r we so afraid of. lets speak out. were not popular. so what. we can take it. i never have watched ellen. never wanted to. wouldnt consider it. ai will never be watched in this home again. my hope is that it is cancelled. of course, i really have no opinion one way or the other. well i suppose, even a straight, married, conservative woman from the mid-west has been known to have the slightest bit of humor. Although, im not known as the big-time lesbian comedian as degeneres!

Choosing Ellen Degenerate to judge a music competition makes the same sense as having a lawyer determine what type of medical treatment a patient should get in a hospital, over a Doctors advise. Maybe she was picked to please the homosexual community, because she sure couldn’t have been picked due to any music industry experience! If the show would have picked an accomplished homosexual singer etc. I would have had no problem at all with that. An Elton John or a Freddie Murcury type, I have been a fan of both. I suspect one reason was to have a second woman who could stand up to Simon. Idol must have come to the conclusion that its viewers being entertained musically was not enough anymore, God knows the ratings were through the roof, no, now we ‘re going to have two women to arrogantly respond to and criticize and rudely challenge Simon’s often insensitive yet qualified judgments. Randy is great, by the way. So, Idol, turn this show in part into a
stupid Soap Opera, time will tell where your ratings will go. Until you replace that female simpleton and send her back to her own field where she belongs.

how was Ellen Degener(ates) name even considered? There are so many interesting singer-musicians out there who could judge, since they were successes in the music field. The show could have picked a popular homosexual musician
and I wouldn’t have had any problem with that. This choice has and will tarnish the credibility of the show in it’s having qualified people in the music industry accurately judge the best potential future talent. Paula and Simon were more than qualified and my family was entertained by the love hate thing that went on between them. Paula was sweet and offset Simon’s often callous remarks, no matter how truthful they were. I and many others will have a justified attitude in watching future shows in trying to ignore this, not even very good, comic.

Wow! Brilliant choice… risk alienating 74% of your viewing population to include someone who represents the 1-2% of philias. That’s what it’s really all about anyways right?
IF my family does end up watching, I will pre record so that we can fast forward through (or mute) each of Ms. Degenerates comments… just like we did last season with Ms. DioGuardi.

I am extremely disappointed in AI’s choice. How can someone who chooses a lifestyle like hers be affiliated with an “idol” show – especially the highly-regarded “American Idol”. I can’t see her contributing to the success of this show at all. I don’t even know if I will be able to stand watching her.

Shame on you, Simon Fuller, for not coming to an agreement with Paula. You show last year had finally turned a corner on civility – now you are taking back to craziness. You will be losing another viewer.

WTF? Ellen DeGeneres?…judging a musical talent competition? Bad choice. She has no foundation in the “language of music” to understand what she is being asked to do. I think the absurdity of the choice will be evident when the judge’s critiques bear weight.

Get out now. Paula got out because she doesn’t like that DioGuardi broad, who was sent in to achieve that purpose. The show will go away and it will take a while and you shouldn’t have that failure hanging over your head. The “glue” for that show was Paula and her character fit perfect. Yours doesn’t. You are in your best fitting routine with your own show and now you are pressing the issue. Go home, stay away.

Ellen will be a vote from the gay and lesbian community. They want to get a winner before the show gets cancelled. But don’t get it twisted America, the media is so fooled and afraid of this community that they bend over backwards to appease them. Note how news releases are always bent in tafavorable ligth concerning this issue. Even when what’s in our pants tells tall nof us they are a confused bunch of folks. What we need to do as viewers is watch who the sponsors will be and not purchase any of their products. When the sponsorships loose in their pockets they start shouting for changes and the network has to make a decision. Loose money or give in to the gay and lesbian community. Best to believe they want to keep their dollars.
